There were different sorts of cards that had evolved Pokémon on, basic Pokémon and sometimes the cards were shiny! They were the best ones! Pokémon Trading Cards was actually a game with rules and results however when they were around hardly anyone played the real game instead everyone was more interested in collecting them all. Pokémon cards came around in 1996 around the same time that the animation came around in the UK ( if you ever watch SMTV then you will remember the Pokeraps that Ant and Dec would have before the show.) The cards could be bought from most shops back in the day and they are still around now with new additions so they must still be available to buy but probably not as easy as it was in the nineties. They were everywhere, they took over the school yard, they caused fights and you couldn’t get away from someone mentioning Pokémon Cards.
